This class was tough.
For most students, organic chemistry is a requirement so taking the course with Dr. Njardarson is very beneficial. He introduces the subject in a creative and easier way than most chemistry professors. He tries to help his students in ways they will understand. He has an army of preceptors to help students with any questions, he also has a facebook page for extra help, review sessions before every exam, and posts past exams for extra practice. He cares for his students and understands that this subject can be difficult for most.
Students will learn molecular naming, chair confirmations, newman projections, arrow pushing in reactions, SN1, SN2, E1, E2 reactions, and many more reactions. All these objectives are seen repetitively in the exams. Which is why he goes over each in detail and makes sure that we understand it to our fullest. He also has half time review sessions open for students if they want to understand these highlights so no future mistakes are made in exams.

Advice for students:
I would go over the material after every lecture to make sure that you fully understand the subject of the day. If you do not understand it, do not let it pass by because everything that is covered in lecture will be in the exam. I would go to organic cafe which is open for students who want extra practice. I find that practicing in organic chemistry is the best way to succeed.
