Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I believe this course should be recommended for the further knowledge of knowing how to take care of your health and others as well.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I learned how the digestive system work, types of different sufficiencies, and one particular different eating disorder called PICA. I thought it was interesting to know that there is an eating disorder that does not have to deal with your body fat but only your health. PICA is a strange eating disorder that has to deal with having non-edible cravings such as drywall, dirt, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in this course just really remember the notes you take and if you need to watch some videos on how things work and how everything comes in play.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course, I will absolutely recommend it to anyone, I believe that everybody needs to learn about nutrition and the basics of why nutrition is extremely important for our health.

    Course highlights:

The most exciting topic in this course was learning about the digestive system and how all the food that we ingest goes to different processes. I learned that with the help of enzymes we are able to break down foods into smaller molecules in order to absorb the nutrients we need. It starts with salivary amylase the one that breaks down starch when you chew your food, converting it into maltose a smaller carbohydrate.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is fun and exciting and even if your goal is not to be in the health profession I will highly recommend it anyways. The topics are easy to understand if you put a little effort and interest. My advice is to just be passionate about everything you learn because it will have great impact in your future, especially a nutrition course.
