Not too easy. Not too difficult.
As a computer science major looking to build a strong foundation of complimentary skills, having a solid understanding of how networks communicate is an intelligent decision no matter how you look at it!
Gaining a better understanding of what the internet is on a "physical" level, and learning just how data facilitates communication leaves you feeling just a bit more connected with the digital world around you. Advice for students:
I'd recommend a strong math background, but it's not necessary to pull numbers off the top of your head. But good intuitive understanding comes with practice like anything else, so if you want to try it and feel stuck, give it a little bit of time and don't be afraid to ask questions!
