Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ken Harper is a great professor. He has a great sense of humor and very interesting lecture. I'm not interested in filming at all but he definitely made the class something I looked forward to attending every week.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to operate a video camera and Final Cut Pro.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just don't put off doing the projects until the last minute. They don't require TOO much work at once if you balance it well/have decent time-management skills.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is very hands-on and exciting. Professor Harper keeps the class really engaging and fun and uses videos and movie clips to keep the class interesting. Outside of class is where we create different videos, and we edit them in lab.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were creating the PSA, Non-fiction film, and fiction film. They are all group projects so it's a great introduction into communications because you start to see where you fit in the production process.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open minded and don't be afraid to be creative. Also, talk to Professor Harper or your T.A. if you have any concerns about your projects.
