    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it to those who are thoroughly interested in biology, especially the ecology aspect of it. He strongly focuses on plants and subjects of that sort.

    Course highlights:

Professor Wiles is a very energetic and excited teacher. He thoroughly enjoys the topic and wants to see his students enjoy it as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make flashcards and definitely get acquainted with Professor Wiles as well as the "smart people" in your class. This class is used to "weed out" those who come in certain they will end up in medical school. Find those who are just as determined as you are and get into study groups as soon as you can.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For this course, there isn't much of if I would recommend it or not because it is a requirement for a lot of majors. Although it is a class with over 200 students, you learn about a lot of different things in a short amount of time. It is a good introduction to Biology as a whole.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about animal behaviors and our ancestors. It is so amazing to me how species can evolve and change over time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE TEXTBOOK! Read. The. Textbook. There is so much your professor can go over during lecture therefore you need to read the textbook to get all the information you need.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's great for a general science credit but Dr. Wiles is the only professor that teaches this class. That being said, his tests are extremely specific. If you want to do well you need to read the textbook, do the homework, and pay attention in lecture.

    Course highlights:

Being a Biology major, this course was required. I not only learned more about biology but that the amount of studying I did in high school was not sufficient enough to do well in this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study your notes often, even if the test is three weeks away, just look at them. Study the homework questions and pay attention in lecture and you'll be fine.
