    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is required for all freshmen enrolled in the Whitman School of Management Program, but it is better to look at it as an opportunity rather than a prerequisite. It introduces the business world, and with a professor like Wimer, it is an excellent and engaging course.

    Course highlights:

SOM 122 helps to dispel common misconceptions about the business world that almost everyone comes into college with. It covers every major branch of business, including management, accounting, marketing, decision-making, corporate structure, and business law.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work and prepare. There's no way around it in this course, and trying to find one will lead to extreme stressing before the exams and the presentations. If you put in the hours outside of class, you'll find that this course is very rewarding and will be one of your favorite courses of your freshman year,
