    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone. Especially with professor Prouty. She really takes the time to invest herself in your learning as a student. Prouty's goal of the class is to help each student develop a sense of social awareness and a desire to change the world for better using their art.

    Course highlights:

I learned mostly from my fellow classmates. We each had different social issues that concerned us and used our art to bring awareness to these issues. One of my classmates, in particular, did a piece about sexual assault on college campuses. She stood in our student union with a board and paint of four different colors. Each color represented a level of sexual assault from unwanted advances to groping, to rape. She had girls come up and paint with a color representing one that had happened to them. Her results were shocking. We learned how common sexual assault is and I believe it's an incredible statistic and issue that needs to be talked of with more urgency and importance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to every class if you can, attendance is very important for this course. Invest time and effort into your work. Make a goal to learn something new from your classmates every week.
