    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very fast-paced course. If you are not completely 100 percent confident on your ability to use what you learned in pre-calculus, I would definitely recommend using outside sources, such as the Math Lab that is offered. The course does show you how you may use what you learn in your field, so it is very helpful if you can easily grasp it.

    Course highlights:

You learn the basics of calculus that will prepare you for more in-depth courses down the road.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do study guides when offered to prepare you for the exam! Also, take advantage of outside resources such as the Math Lab and/or tutoring if available! Also, do the practice problems that are ungraded everyday, as it does strengthen your understanding of the material.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Galliard is a great teacher who truly cares about his students. Calculus is also a very helpful skill to have if you want to go into a science field as I am doing.

    Course highlights:

I learned about taking derivatives and integral. I also learned to apply them to real world situations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class and study thoroughly. Otherwise you won't get a very good grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. McGalliard makes it an absolute joy. He puts his enthusiasm and personality into his teaching, making it much more fun. Yes, he makes 8:00 AM calculus fun.

    Course highlights:

I gained an understanding of the fundamentals behind calculus as well as why they work. Many professors will just tell you how to do something and leave it at that, but Dr. McGalliard goes through the trouble of proving how essential equations and theorems work so we have a firm understanding of what we're doing when we use them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't stay awake too late. Dr. McGalliard works his best in early mornings, and you'll find that it's worth it to match his energy level. Stay during office hours with him, do all your homework, and you'll have a great time as I did - even throughout difficult topics.
