    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course due to the excitement of the learning material! The course itself isn't just about boring chemical and element nomenclature, its far from that; as it focuses on an array of fascinating subjects and recent scientific breakthroughs. This specific course section and instructor does not teach through monotone lectures and boring PowerPoints, but through in-class activities, short video clips and in-depth and to the point lectures.

    Course highlights:

Highlights include learning about rare animal behavior and interesting facts about the dinosaurs and that time period. Other highlights include learning about rare diseases, the origin of life, and very tiny but very interesting microbes that live in and outside of the human body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise incoming students to prepare for a true college level course with no antics attached. The course schedule is well laid out and your overall grade heavily relies on 4 multiple choice exams. This professor knows his subject very well and explains it in just the right detail at a reasonable pace.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Barbee is an easygoing, welcoming professor who strives to make the material as fun and interesting as possible. He is passionate about the topics he teaches, and he is clearly eager to share his passion with his students.

    Course highlights:

The coursework is hardly demanding; aside from online quizzes and exams, the bare minimum is to show up to class. As long as you are present and paying attention to Barbee's lectures, you will do just fine. I learned about all different aspects of ecosystems and different body processes in different species. Overall, a pretty interesting biology class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class. No matter how trivial it may seem, your attendance is important. There are things Barbee will say or share with the class that you cannot find in the textbook or in his online lecture notes - these things are then put onto quizzes and exams. Go to class!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was an easy class because it did not require much work, and Mr. Oley made the material easy to understand and applicable.

    Course highlights:

The impact that humans have on our planet was a topic that we learned a lot about. I read a lot of good articles for homework that were thought provoking and insightful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard for the tests. And USE the study guides.
