    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course has a strong classroom community, but the lectures aren't very focused.

    Course highlights:

The best part about this class was speaking to a room of trusted people. It was great in terms of learning how to structure a speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is good for any major, but if you have professor Ray, get ready from some mental meandering. Always pretty interesting though.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend! Sirmon is well spoken, and she works great with all kinds of students. She is understanding, and I learned a lot from her class. She is very organized, and I enjoyed her class greatly. I feel like I am now better at speaking in public for sure.

    Course highlights:

My professor always had a sense of humor. I enjoyed listening to her because she was both captivating and informative.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice your speeches before you present in front of the class! We all know those who didn't do their practice.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Lunceford is a great instructor who knows his stuff. Participation matters in class, you are required to give a few speeches on current events, and there is a final. Overall a great course I would recommend for even the most gifted public speakers.

    Course highlights:

The main point of this class was to learn how to speak in front of an audience effectively about a topic of your choosing with energy and without being nervous.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You are required to do 3 large speeches throughout the semester on a current large issue that make up a large portion of your grade. Make sure you do your research on your topic, and that your speeches are thorough, as well as practice running through what you have written a lot before giving your speeches, as time spent speaking is a large part of how you are graded.
