    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is challenging and interesting for most students. I thoroughly enjoyed the University, the course, and the professor.

    Course highlights:

Math! While chemistry does have some basic concepts and memorization, the ability to rearrange equations and quickly solve math problems is what the main takeaway is.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do every possible homework problem. Use past homework and practice tests to prepare for exams. Be able to rearrange the numbers and get the math right!

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course required much time outside of class in order to make a good grade. A great deal of studying was necessary to succeed.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Kesling is a good professor who wants you to learn and also understand chemistry. He is available during office hours and also by appointment if needed. Kesling is helpful to explain things in class and also on one-on-one time.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about chemistry, but also a lot about time management. With such a time consuming course, it is easy to quit and not spend as much time on your homework as you would need, but your professors are there to help you and so are your SI's.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapter thoroughly before going to class. Kesling likes a lot of participation and requires it. Also, ask questions if you don't understand, because the chances are that someone else was confused too. Everyone in your class is struggling just like you, so try to find a group of friends that are taking the same class so you can have a study group.
