Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Mutinda is also a therapist for marriage relations. The professor was well educated on the subject of marriage and family relations making it easier for us to understand the material, rather than having to teach ourselves.

    Course highlights:

From this course I learned the cognitive development of children through adolescence and how a child impacts a family structure. There are different types of family structures and parenting styles I learned that can help me with my future career.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You must read the textbook to avoid missing a few questions on the tests!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is absolutely wonderful! Professor Cobb does an excellent job engaging the class and including discussions, while letting everyone express their opinions and share aspects of our own lives that contribute to the discussions. The work is switched up among powerpoints, short quizzes, essays/projects (fun projects!), review games, and more.

    Course highlights:

I truly learned so much about family interactions, relationships, and the ways that families overcome conflict. The material for this course can be applied to our own lives and can truly help those who wish to have a career in working with families and children. I learned about children's perspectives on relationships, both friendly and intimate relationships, their perspectives on divorce, and how children are affected in all different areas of life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Have an open mind, be respectful of those sharing personal aspects of their lives, consider sharing in the discussion yourself, and put in effort and you will not be disappointed!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to class, even though attendence is not required. Make sure to turn in all work, and not wait to the last minute. Grade is based off a point system so its important to do everything.
