Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is not for the faint-hearted! Dr. Barabote and Dr. Du cover a lot of material while being straight forward and helpful. They do have accents but if you sit close to the front and really pay attention you will be fine. But if you still don't understand some concepts you can ask for help in their office hours and they are extremely helpful when it comes to one-on-one interaction. I extremely advise to print out their lectures ahead of time and bring them to class. Be organized because those notes will literally save your life. Take notes whenever they repeat a concept more than once it'll most likely be on the exam. I also extremely advise to not form big study groups. Working with one other person you trust is perfect. Meet up at least once a week to go over the lecture and power-point notes and talk out the concepts. You basically re-teach the material out loud to each other and trust me it will reward you with a really good grade. He posts old practice exams online so print those out and go over the questions one by one with your study buddy. Write an explanation for the answer on each question. Doing so will really push you to understand rather than memorize. If you still need extra help I recommend watching Crash Course videos on YouTube, they saved my life! And PSA DO NOT READ ALL THE TEXTBOOK (not necessary in my experience). This course is really detailed so it'll take a lot of focus to do well. If you do all these things then you will be just fine!

    Course highlights:

The professors posted all their lecture power-points on Blackboard and that really saved me life. Having them in front of me in class was extremely helpful because it helped me focus on what they were lecturing about. And because of that I got good test grades. I learned that in this class it's best to be on top of your game. You can't get lazy because you will fall behind. But at the end when you're done with finals and you did everything you needed to do you will be rewarded with an A or B. It's very rewarding and reassuring that you can handle a college level course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For pre med students this is a required course and for students interested in science this course really gives in depth explanations to why things are the way they are. Once you understand the material you will be fascinated by how much you understand about the tiny details that make things big.
