    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Well it usually is a general that needs to be taken so I would recommend it. It is a good class because it helps you further your knowledge on how to have an educated and rational argument. You learn how to prove your point in a structured way.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were applying specific things we learned to our papers. For example, I learned about the toulmin's model and this model was used in our papers to help us better our argument.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask questions if you are confused or not sure how to start or continue your paper. Have it edited a few times before you turn it in.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone for many reasons. First off the instructor was extremely helpful to the students by encouraging, keeping in contact with us and making sure we understood the material. Secondly the course has helped me to be more open minded about a variety of subjects due to the collaboration and debates we had in class. Thirdly this class has allowed me to meet and get to know many new faces along the way. I would not recommend this class if you have a lot of other difficult classes you are taking. I was taking a Math 151 at the same time as my English 102 class and that proved to be much more difficult due to the amount of time needed for both classes. Please do not overwhelm yourself or rush yourself to get all of your classes done quickly. Take it one at a time.

    Course highlights:

In addition to becoming more open minded about a variety of subjects, I have increased my debating skills, learned how to cite my work better, learned how to use different sources to find great/credible resources, and so much more. The great part about taking the class was that I still learned new things about how to write and excellent essay. One great example is something that I have always struggled with when writing an essay which is how to continue writing on when you get stuck. Many times I found it difficult to write 5-10 page essays. With the help of the instructor and writing many essays, I don't have as much trouble doing so and I am actually more confident in my ability. So in addition to everything else, I have also gained more confidence in writing. There is a lot you can learn from this course and its always different for everybody.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering taking this course be prepared to spend ample amount of time on the class work and home work. Also do your work early as soon as you can otherwise you will find yourself doing your work last minute and that usually results in rushed and unfinished work. The faster you get the work done the more time you will have review/ fix the work and you will have more time for yourself to do other things. Make sure to get plenty of sleep as well. trust me you don't want to be tired through the entire course for obvious reasons. If you need extra help for the class don't be afraid to ask for help or from everyone and anyone you can. You have the instructors, tutors, and classmates. Its not embarrassing its smart. You ain't paying for those classes for no reason.
