Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was the refresher I needed as a older returning student. This instructor made the class interesting in so many ways. The book we were assigned to read was the choice for city -wide book to read. It was about the experience of a family in the Japanese interment camp. My instructor allowed us to participate in a Japanese Tea ceremony, a speech given by the the son of a interment camp victim and a Taiko drum concert. With each outing we were given the history, the background, the meaning of each to give us a better understanding of the cultural and emotional experience the Japanese immigrants went through.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were when I was allowed to express through my writing the experiences I had from each outing. I enjoyed trying to put in words what I saw and felt in such a way that would make others want to experience it too.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get your books early. Don't get behind on your assignments. Go to your instructor and find out what the particular requirements are so you can make sure you adhere to them, even beyond the syllabus.
