    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is one of the hardest courses I have taken workload-wise, but also one of the most rewarding if you really dedicate yourself to it. Vadim is great and the content is well explained, if incredibly vast.

    Course highlights:

Vadim moves INCREDIBLY fast at times, but is also amazingly clear and understandable, and will always be happy to re-cover any material that is confusing or too fast during lecture. I learned more from this math class than any of the last math classes I have taken in recent years combined, but you have to do the work to really understand it because it is so dense.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're willing to put a lot of time in, you will be able to get a pretty good grade because there is a fairly generous curve, lots of office hours, piazza to ask homework questions, and extra credit opportunities with almost every assignment. DO THE MATLAB EXTRA CREDIT workbook problems. Not only are they good for extra points, but they virtually always cover very clearly the matlab skills you will need in that assignment's word problems. Also, create a study group if you can. It makes a big difference.
