Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I highly recommend this class. There are about 8 labs that you will be expected to complete and turn in a lab report including pictures on. The lab kit is around $200 but the labs are fun and interesting. The lab reports are detailed and the instructor will provide an example in the beginning of class to follow. The class work includes weekly quizzes, which count as your tests. There are a lot of math questions involved in the quizzes. There is a two part final at the end of the course. The tests are always timed, but the instructor provides ample time to complete them and some tests can be taken more than once and highest grade will be accepted. Be sure to study up on your basic algebra, as it will be necessary in this class.
8 or 9 labs, 2-3 hours each. These are done at home using a lab kit. Around 12 quizzes (tests), often with chance to retake. Timed, but plenty of time allotted. Heavy in math-chemical equations, molecular mass, stoichiometry, writing out molecular formulas.

Advice for students:
Be ready to study. The tests themselves aren't too bad, but the labs require a good amount of background and they take a few hours each. Make sure you have a good background in algebra.
