    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

EMS is not only a great work field, but it's a great class to take for your future reference. It gives you background in human anatomy, prehospital care, adult and pediatric medical information such as emergency medicines and the dosages for each. It gives you a basic medical background for emergencies anywhere-it's also a great certification for a back-up plan!

    Course highlights:

All through high school, I've wanted to become a Forensic Pathologist. An FP is the doctor/physician/medical examiner that determines the cause of death in victims or suspects in a criminal investigation. I took the EMS class to gain some medical background. I never imagined falling in love with the idea of being an EMT. You learn how to save lives, and how to be of service to the public while doing what you love. It's definitely a challenge but you learn so much, it's worth so much more!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to keep an organized binder. Keep all of your materials at reach. Make note cards. Take as many notes as possible! The tests aren't extremely hard, most of it is common sense in my opinion. But stay alert and be ready. Being quick on your feet and being able to respond quickly in complex situations is a must.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The instructor was great. The administration staff there weren't very helpful though. Course is very difficult. A lot of course work and a lot of work that is having to be done outside of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course is definitely the amount of hands on training with the top notch equipment they officer. The instructor for this course was very confident in his skills and passed that along to us while we were working hands on.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be completely prepared for the amount of course work you are getting into. This work is very abundant on top of all the extra ride time hours you have to get in the field. Make sure you study cause without studying and asking questions you will not succeed.

    Course highlights:

Learn the coursework even though it was strenuous was very great.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study a lot and spend a lot of your free time in the books.
