    Course Overview:

    General Concepts in Biology is a very detailed course that explores the unseen phenomenons important to life. In this class you will explore the significance and functions of macromolecules, cells, and how Chemistry and Biology coexist.

    Course highlights:

    The highlight of this course in my experience was Cellular Respiration. Although the topic is very complex with many products and reactants to keep in mind, it is rewarding and useful knowledge to have.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    READ YOUR BOOK! Having a testable knowledge on all topics discussed is the only way you will obtain an above average grade.

    Course Overview:

    I earned my B.S in Biology in 2011, I graduated with honors. I am now going back to school for my second degree in Athletic Training while applying for DPT programs.

    Course highlights:

    Central concepts in biology including; basic chemical and physical phenomena, biochemistry, cell form and function, genetics, evolution, and multicellular organization.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Read the assigned chapters before class, pay attention to the lecture and take notes while in class. After class go over notes taken in class and summarize them so that they are easy to study for exams.
