    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Public speaking is very good course to take, especially if you have a fear of speaking in front of people or are overall shy. It develops your confidence to speak in front of large crowds and overall strengthens your confidence and voice trajectory. I highly recommend this course for anyone who may have to present a project, give a speech, or may become a future educator.

    Course highlights:

What I gained from this class is that your voice, pitch, and volume has a huge effect on your audience. You want to be able to set the tone and grab their attention. If you come off timid and speak in at a low pitch and volume, your audience will feed off of that and will grow uninterested. You speak boldly and confidently you will sustain your audience's attention.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice giving your speeches to yourself first, then work your way up if you don't feel comfortable. Say your speeches in the mirror and practice working on your voice, pitch, and volume. Then practice saying it in front of your friends, family members, or small crowds. This gives you a feeling of the pressure you may feel if you were to speak in front of an audience.
