    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor, Dr. McGowan, was a phenomenal teacher. She took her time in making sure that every student had a chance to understand the material. Statistics was not something that I was rather passionate nor proficient in, but she taught the material in a way that made sense to me. I'd definitely recommend taking this course with her.

    Course highlights:

This course was a great way to get your feet wet in the subject of statistics. We learned the basics of standard deviance, graphing points, and how to apply statistical information to real world problems. Other math courses I've taken generally are just problems where you don't really know why it's pertinent to your daily life. In this course it was a lot of problem solving, and she showed us how to implement it from the perspective of someone who's job requires them to be a decision maker.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to make yourself known to the professor. I always asked questions after class and would go to the professors office hours. It was very important thatI went out of my way to make sure that I learned the material. I also went to tutoring as well whenever I was stuck on an assignment.
