    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Honestly, everyone says they hate Mr. Mac and he is pretty tough. It seems to be somewhat of an act, as he was very helpful during office hours. If you are having trouble, go to him with a specific issue and an example problem he can work through with you (that's the best way to set him up to help you). Do the work, do the examples, go to class, and in the end accounting is either your thing or it's not and that's okay.

    Course highlights:

PRACTICE EXAMS ARE NEARLY IDENTICAL TO TESTS!!! Get an old exam in addition to the practice exams if you can and you'll be golden. There were many occasions where the problem was the exact same with just the numbers changes. If you know the methods of how to do the problems, just memorize them for the test. You may not know what you're doing but if you can just memorize the methods and what to look for you can make it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice Exams, Memorize the powerpoints, no need to buy the book (Mac does his own thing)

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking accounting only if it is required for your major. I took this course online and struggled to learn the information without the one on one help from a teacher or problem session.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about how businesses run.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You probably shouldn't take it online unless you are strong with math.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He does have a understanding of the materials but be prepared to do some outside work to do well.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this class were he is a interesting teacher and he offers a lot of homework and practice material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I found it really helpful to study old test because they gave a hint about the format. The test make up a big portion of the grade and they are really hard. He also is one of those teachers who does not negotiate when it comes to cut off points, so if you earned a D and you are 1 point away, you earned a D.
