    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is great as far as interesting material, but it was very challenging because it was the professor's first time teaching the course. He taught way above our heads, but made a conscious effort to remedy issues. The first two tests were curved to compensate for the test being to long and difficult for the time allotted. The final exam however was very straight forward and fair. The teacher made a good effort to go back and review/reteach what the students did not understand.

    Course highlights:

A highlight was that it was a summer course, so although the course was fast paced, you were done in five weeks. The class was also very small, letting you ask all the questions you needed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get the textbook! Follow along with the textbook. I actually taught myself the material from the textbook before class and compared it to what he taught in class. I ended up with an A-. Make sure you brush up on your calc! I have a math degree and knowing the math helped more than you can imagine.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Howard is a great teacher and provides all of the course material online, making it very easy to prepare for classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about Newtonian mechanics as applied to static objects, along with a great improvement in my problem solving abilities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework. Watch the videos. Go to class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is extremely fast paced and involves challenging material. My semester was completely focused on statics. If you don't think you have the time or effort to put towards this course, I would not recommend Dr. Howard.

    Course highlights:

This course is extremely difficult and challenging with Dr. Howard, but it is the most rewarding. I have never been pushed so hard to learn difficult to understand material as I have in this class. I ended the course with knowledge and skills that I know I won't lose.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to all the classes, do all the homework, and don't give up on a section of material because everything really does build on each other.
