Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because I learned a lot of important math skills that I will need for my future business career. I would recommend it for people not going into business as well because the math concepts I learned can be applied to general life as well.
Course highlights:
The highlights of this course was learning about how the concepts we were learning related to the actual world. I learned probability concepts such as combinations and permutations and I also learned matrices.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
To succeed in this class, you need to do all the homework and classwork that is assigned, even if it is not mandatory because doing all the example problems is what will really help you understand the concepts and do well in the class.
Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
It's a simple math course that's great for getting back into the swing of things (and for covering 1/2 of your math requirements for a design student)
Course highlights:
The course works for all kinds of learners; even though it's a huge lecture class, Prof. Barnard is super open to answering questions and elaborating on things.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
You do actually need the book (but you don't need the webassign)
