    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a pretty straightforward course, the professor is engaging and does his absolute best to get the material across in a variety of different ways

    Course highlights:

It's a simple entry-level geology course, but we still hit on some interesting topics, and the professor opens the question of what the students want to learn about in Earth's geological history which is pretty cool!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you need a science requirement and ya like rocks, go for it honestly- as long as you remember the learning journals and pay an ounce of attention you'll do just fine

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had to take this course even if I am a business administration major because NC State requires every student to take one science class. And actually, I was positively surprised, as the teacher makes the class dynamic (powerpoint, videos, in class activities, weekly news...), and is always available if there is a concept you do not understand.

    Course highlights:

Tectonic plates, glaciers, climate, Life's effects on Earth, greenhouses gases, climate change, ...

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the assignments properly because they are really helpful for the exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was very difficult if you didn't have a lot of background on the subject. you really had to study hard for each test and have a good understanding of the topics discussed in class.

    Course highlights:

I learned there is more to Geology than just rocks. We explored into the atmosphere and down to the core of the Earth.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would only recommend this course if you absolutely have to take it or if you already have a good basis of knowledge about the Earth.
