Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Nyehart is a cool guy and he makes everything easy to understand. He also won't go into all the exceptions, so if you're just taking chem because it's mandatory, take him. If you want to take go further into chem, you may want to take someone else just to know all you can; but he will explain things to you if you ask.

    Course highlights:

All the basics, but not many of the exceptions

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

SI is useful, homework actually helps, and past tests are accurate to current tests

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's not that hard if you put effort into the course, just don't fall behind the class and you'll do fine.

    Course highlights:

He did a lot of experiments and we really enjoyed them. Occasional take home quizzes then and there. Other than that, just an ordinary chem class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours to review your test. He said that he's really lazy and he just changes a few numbers and that's the final. So if you know your tests, you basically know the final.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is hard, because Ghiladi powers through the material in great depth. However, because of this it prepares you for higher levels of chemistry; giving you a head start of sorts.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were definitely the in class demonstrations, the demonstrations were always on topic and then Dr. Ghiladi would always spend time explaining the concepts involved.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook, even when you think you understand the material. And as cliche as this sounds, office hours are a major key to success in this class.
