    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It depends on the type of student you are. If you like to put in a lot of hard work, you will do fine in this class. If you are not one to put in the work, this class isn't for you. The concepts are complex and can be somewhat difficult so it will most likely take a decent amount of time to understand the topics.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the class mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, oscillations, and fluid mechanics. I learned much about air resistance and gravity, specifically how they affect the flight of a particle. I also learned about specific characteristics of waves (frequency, wavelength, amplitude), buoyancy and the properties of fluids, details about velocity and acceleration, and very important, the kinematic equations and their application.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, I would make sure to stay on task with all of the readings first of all. Secondly, take down notes for each chapter. Go to office hours if you have any questions or are having trouble grasping a certain concept. Participate! Participation is a decent amount of your grade. Also, make sure you have a good understanding of the Webassign questions and don't just memorize how to do the problems. Understand concepts!
