Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was really helpful and responsive to questions and knew how to explain his examples when presenting new coding concepts in class. Would recommend taking the class in the summer to get better one-on-one interaction and time to work on the class projects.

    Course highlights:

I learned most of the very basic concepts of object-oriented programming and how to code beginner projects using the Java coding language. After putting the concepts and coding to practice in the class projects, I easily applied that newly learned information to personal projects and exercises to see what I was capable of doing with the new information. Although it is not a complete explanation on the foundations of object-oriented programming, it provides a good base that can be translated to most major languages. It provides flexible skills that can be used almost immediately and is a great investment for coding based careers.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to start your projects early as soon as you feel confident in tackling them! Also make sure to visit TA's and ask questions about any concept you are unclear about, or if you want them to check your code before submitting an assignment. Usually they are very helpful and friendly, so don't be afraid to talk to them!
