Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Simons is an amazing professor. She makes The Canterbury Tales interesting. Even now she still says hello to me when she sees me. She is probably one of the best professors I have had at NC State.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed our Shakespeare session. We were put in groups and had to act out a certain act from Twelfth Night, which was extremely fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read all the material and pay attention. There is not too much work to do, so keep up with what is due and when.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was fantastic, mostly because of the professor! Dr. Stein kept the material fresh and applicable to real life- which is often hard to do with literature. He challenged his students every day, and is the reason I became interested in being an English major. I would definitely take this class again if I could.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about literature, and the way it can apply to real life. I really learned about the tools authors use in order to convey tone, plot, etc. It was like AP English in high school, except far more interesting!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely get ready to read, if you take this course! In order to excel, you have to read the assigned material. He's an interesting professor, but he grades some papers tough. Submitting first drafts to him by email will definitely increase your chances of getting an A!
