Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

McVeigh is the best professor I have had in the accounting department so far. He genuinely cares and is not intimidating to ask for help/questions. He makes the class as simple as possible and doesn't throw any curve balls. Straight forward tests and minimal homework (Cengage quiz per chapter)

    Course highlights:

Class style is set up where one day is going through the powerpoint for the chapter, then the next class or two is strictly examples. If you can keep up with the speed, you'll have more study material and examples than you'll need. He really sets you up for 311 and lets you know what will carry over.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study what he gives you for the test (practice tests, practice problems, etc.) because he won't stray from those. The final exam is a lot harder than any of the tests because they have to standardize it across the classes. It did bring my grade down from an A- to a B+ but I didn't prepare as much as I should have to be honest.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is a great weed-out class to determine if accounting is the right major for you.

    Course highlights:

This course was very interesting as it pertained to my major. I learned how to prepare for the end of the year and to prepare financial statements through the practice set.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you read and do the practice problems.
