    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you like biology and are remotely interesting in genetics and need this for pre-health related field or to graduate TAKE THIS CLASS! It definitely required a lot of work, but was so interesting and so applicable. Hogan gives great outlines and study materials to help you do your best as long as you are willing to put the work in.

    Course highlights:

Learned a ton about genetics and how they affect people and family disorders. A lot of pedigrees in the beginning but the second half is all about specifics of translation, transcription, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review a little bit every day! Stay on task with the Mastering Genetics. Do the outlines, and the readings. Study at least 4 days before an exam.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hogan made it a very straightforward class with outlined notes and helpful in-class examples.

    Course highlights:

This course provided a strong base for DNA replication, which I find has applied to every biology course that I have taken since as well as several chemistry and physics courses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook before class to get the most out of the lectures.
