    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because my professor has made Spanish 204 a really great experience. She often uses her humor to ease her students into learning Spanish 204, especially since this class is one of the gateway classes towards majoring or minoring in Spanish. The teacher strictly reinforces grammar rules when speaking Spanish, and she strongly encouraged participation from her students. She uses effective Powerpoint Presentations during the days when we would meet for lecture, and she uses captivating images to deliver her messages clearly about what it is she expected us to learn in Spanish 204.

    Course highlights:

We learned all forms of grammar that is within the Spanish language, but this course was challenging in the sense that we had to understand the context in which we would use a specific type of tense for a verb. I also learned how to communicate effectively in Spanish since we had presentations about a cultural topic that is pertinent within the world of Latin America. In addition, I learned how to speak Spanish spontaneously since we would also have weekly Voicethread assignments. Finally, there were pop quizzes to ensure that we were learning the material appropriately as the class progressed, and I liked these pop quizzes since it allowed me to retain my vocabulary and grammar skills for the midterms and the final exam.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the recommended readings, and make sure that you check your MySpanishLab assignments since they form a significant portion of your MySpanishLab grade. Go to office hours since this professor would always host office hours after her classes, especially if you are having trouble understanding grammatical concepts within the class.
