I got to learn about the seemingly invisible but influential role of viruses, bacterias, prions, and other microorganisms. You get to see how they thrive, how they get into an organism, the different mechanisms used to get inside an organism, how the organism responds to these microbes, different diseases caused by these microorganisms and how they're treated.

Advice for students:
Study ahead of time. It really helps to read over the material before lectures. It also helps to skim over the notes after each lecture. You don't want to have to wait until the day before an exam to catch up.
