    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives you a baseline of calculus that will be needed for the rest of the calculus courses.

    Course highlights:

Learning how to properly study calculus. I learned that it is important to re-work the problems to gain a better understanding of the material.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go to tutoring every week because that will help with understanding the material. Go to the professor's office hours because it shows that you care about tour education. The professor might help you later on.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is an interesting mathematics course with a very patient and helpful professor that provides lots of practice material and prepares you for Calc 2.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of all derivatives and their rules. I was forced to actually memorize and use these rules, not just barely get by in order to succeed in this course and the following calc class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of your webwork homework assignments, take advantage of any extra credit opportunities, use the preceptors hours for help and attend every class!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is amazing and teaches in a fashion that is understandable. She also spends time with students that do not understand something and is really nice.

    Course highlights:

From this course, i have learnt a lot about the subject mainly because the teacher knew how to teach it well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

if you do not understand something, make sure you ask the teacher or ask for help from somewhere else. it is a course where you either get it or not, and if you don't then it is really important that you get help
