Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course with this professor because the class was very helpful in terms of learning to write better essays, as well as analyze text. The class proved to be great for open discussion as well feedback from peers and the instructor on the strong and weak points of any given essay presented to the class. Everyone gave their opinions and the variety of critiques on essays read in class were very helpful in becoming a better writer.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the class discussions on all the material covered in class. Whether it was a poem, short story, or essay the instructor asked us to read, or an anonymous essay from either the current or previous class. Everyone always had a chance to speak and the instructor would never belittle anyone's opinion or critique. He would call on everyone in the class so that everyone always had a wide range of feedback. I learned how to analyze text and writing devices with more insight and see things from someone else's point of view after taking a second glance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always pay attention to the critique and opinions given in class by the instructor as well as your classmates. Also, have all material read and stay caught up what information is supposed to be known before class. Always be as detailed as possible whether you're writing an essay, answering a short response question or giving an opinion on a piece of work presented to the class.
