    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Gordon is an absolute grading monstrosity. Write dx/dy instead of dy/dx? The entire problem is wrong. I highly advise another professor.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, Gordon was so confusing to follow and his broken English was deplorable, so I did not have much to take away.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take another professor, ANY other professor will suffice.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although the course material is interesting, the professor possesses a very strong foreign accent and a very heavy grading hand. He is obviously passionate about the material, but it can be very hard to understand his handwriting, and while he requires us to print, he only writes in cursive. Being required to write in pen on tests and quizzes makes cleanly solving problems difficult.

    Course highlights:

Professor uses a lot of graphics to assist in the spatial thinking required for Calculus III, and provides enough extra credit to significantly boost grades, so long as you are able to solve them. He also gives a lot of optional book problems to facilitate learning.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Lots of black pens are necessary, as well as white-out. A basic scientific calculator or TI-30XS MultiView.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

McGoff was a great teacher and always encourages questions. He taught by the book and had a flow to his lectures that was easy to follow.

    Course highlights:

Calculus three can be challenging, but this quick paced summer course with McGoff made it fun and a little easier than a long full semester.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have got to do the homework. Do not wait until the last minute because there is a lot of it. Also, the practice tests that he gives out are life savers when it comes to preparing for the exams. We had quizzes due every day so missing class isn't really an option.
