    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took the course once a week for 3 hours straight every Monday night so that was probably not a good start. But aside from this, the teacher basically throws the book at you. We literally went through EVERY single chapter in a book that is 700 pages long. I understand that you want to spend money on a book and actually use it, but the teacher served no purpose basically. I could have taught myself the exact same thing she did because it was all (pretty much word by word) from the book, no expertise, summary or analysis from her whatsoever.

    Course highlights:

The best and worst part about the course was the marketing project where we had to come up with a product and basically do a complete marketing plan for it. if marketing is your thing, you get a good group and come up with a good idea it can probably be a good learning experience. But ALL and I mean all these criteria must be met, if not, you're out of luck. She will probably make you do things that were not explained in class or were but very vaguely in the book and its kind of a learn as you go experience. But, all in all you will learn a lot about marketing, even if most of the information will be forgotten by the end because you have to cram a 700 page book in your head (if you're good at this though then this is the class for you).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to not take the once a week class like I did. It is exhausting and not very conductive for learning if this type of class is not your thing. She gives a lot of quizzes that are basically tests and they will drop you a letter grade if you're not on top of them. There is absolutely no way to cheat in that class, don't try it. She. Will. Know. Also, please, please be a good teammate and try to cooperate on your assignment and I promise it will probably flow much better because you will be stuck with those people the WHOLE semester.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She's a fantastic lecturer! She tells you exactly what she's thinking and offers multiple opportunities for students to grow and achieve their goals in the class

    Course highlights:

The big project in this course was tough but it allowed us to expand our minds into the market place and truly let our creativity go wild. We were able to create a product and come up with a full plan. It was a great learning experience

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class! She takes attendance and the more you go the better your grade will be. Take good and detailed notes because she will make the tests difficult!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was a very interesting one. Many of the assignments that the professor provided were very straightforward and we were given more than one attempt to get a good grade. The tests were much trickier and much more difficult but there were some similar questions from the homework.

    Course highlights:

I think the one highlight of this class was playing the simulation game at the end. I learned that you have to have a strategy when it comes to marketing a brand and you have to know exactly what people are looking for and what you're going to sell to them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course, do note that the homework assignments are simple but, the tests are pretty hard. Some assignments are not very clear and so you must email the professor for clarification. When you reach the simulation game, make sure you know at least the basics of marketing and that you and your team come to proper agreements on what the product should have.
