    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Networking and telecommunication concepts are described. Technical and organizational activities for securing distributed systems are presented. System security and information assurance methodologies, procedures and best practices are studied.

    Course highlights:

    This course will help me to Understand the basics of security and overview of networking layers and communications and data communications, identify threats to information assets including malware and social engineering, explain and apply TCP/IP architecture and the Internet model. I was also able to learn cryptography, secure network an data and develop business continuity plans.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    It is hard to understand Indika, she goes off track a lot, and fails to answer many questions. You have to put in much more effort than you put in your regular classes. The key is to do all the assignments on time, make a study group, and try to do your best in the group project. Most of the class grade depends on Group Project, so this is where you put most of your efforts.
