Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He was very lenient with due dates and was just super chill during class.

    Course highlights:

I didn't learn much but I enjoyed going to class and having lectures. Most of the time, students can participate freely in the lectures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all your essays, that's most of your grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Coming out of high-school I did not realize how poor my writing skills were. Taking Composition 1, I come to realize one need to be able to read/write effectively.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course is realizing no matter what major I chose, I am at a disadvantage if one is unable to read and write (draft/revise).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is not to take this course lightly. End of semester, I received a “D” and would like retake class. To succeed in life, one must communicate.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course provides the knowledge necessary to write solid argumentative essays. It also addresses style, rhetoric, and pose to make the essay more professional and intellectual. These elements help students to create arguments that are strong and well fit for the topic they choose to discuss.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to better write argumentative essays and make the essay professional. I also learned how to read a text analytically and identify bias, subliminal messages, and false information, helping to use the best resources when writing argumentative essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

For anyone considering taking this course definitely do so. The information provided throughout the semester is necessary to be an effective writer, which carries over into other classes. It is mostly a writing course so there are a lot of opportunities to work on your writing craft and master it.
