    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Smith was a good professor, but not great. We would come to class, and she would ask if we had any question from the readings, and if we didn't, she would just tell us to go home. We would typically be in class for only half of the 1 hour and 15 min period, which may sound good, but I never felt truly prepared for the tests and papers.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the debates we were allowed to have in class about the readings.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you struggle in English, Dr. Smith may not be the person for you. She grades tough and we had many assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a required course, so there is no avoiding it. But it is a useful course, particularly for students that have been out of school for a while.

    Course highlights:

The interaction between students, giving critique and tips to each other, made this course a lot of fun. Do a little work on it every day.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take it in the summer, do it in class, in person. Only do it online if you don't have to worry about any other classes.
