Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ms. Freile is unlike any teacher you've ever had. Instead of teaching directly from a book, she teaches you from a realistic point of view. When the semester was over, I realized that she allowed us to teach each other. I went from someone who was terrified to speak in front of the class to someone who loved it. Each time you give a speech, you gain a little more confidence. She allows the class to give each speaker constructive criticism after each speech, taking the tips they were given and apply it to the next speech.

    Course highlights:

I gained so much self-confidence by taking this class. You are placed in teams, and your team is your greatest support system. Everytime before one of us would head up to the front to give a speech, our teammates would give each other thumbs-up and words of encouragement. Those cheers helped us get through those speeches, knowing that someone had our back. You will get out of this class what you put into it. If you want to become a better speaker, practice, practice, practice. And if you're not too confident, fake it (your audience will never know.)

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it!!! When most people hear "Public Speaking", everyone's response is "Ugh." I know, mine was too. I'm glad I opened up to the possibilities this class provided me. This class gave me confidence, compassion, and a wider view on the world around me.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Anyone can benefit from this course. I am introvert but this class really brought me out of my shell.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was going to class every week and really having fun! I learned so much but it didn't feel like a traditional class where I just sat silently and was lectured to. We had the freedom to really interact with our teacher and classmates.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be shy. Everyone really wants you to succeed. This is honestly one of the most stress free classes you'll ever take so enjoy it!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a great class for a student who plans to take on any profession. Excellent public speaking is a necessity to success.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the creativity and individuality we got to express through our speaking. I learned about body language, tone, purpose, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There is no studying. My advice is to be prepared to come out of your shell and be pulled out of your comfort zone, it's the only way to learn!
