    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great course to learn Biology on a college level.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the 4 different bio-molecules (lipids, nucleic acids, proteins, and carbohydrates) are very interesting to learn about and how different bonds are formed to create them and how the bonds are broken down in order to get back to the monomer of the bio-molecule.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! Study! Study! There is no substitute for studying. Draw connections between lectures and make sure you pay attention to what Dr. Fox says because it will appear on test and quizzes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class, as it is required for many of the advanced biology courses. Dr. Scocco is a little strict at first but she is a great professor! If you have any questions, go to her office hours! She is very welcoming and will help you in any way possible.

    Course highlights:

You touch on a little bit of everything in molecular biology. Taking good notes and doing the homework will save you. Everything you learn in this class is necessary for the advanced biology courses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Having good studying habits will help you, such as studying in groups and going to tutoring sessions. Do not skip class and always be prepared for quizzes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Fox is a great instructor. She is very intelligent and really wants her students to succeed. The course itself is not hard, although, there is quite a bit of terminology to learn/memorize. In terms of studying, I would recommend looking over the slides Dr. Fox provides.

    Course highlights:

Everything about this course interested me. I find the human body and it's processes incredibly interesting. Learning about the different systems within the body was very exciting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study at least 1-2 hours every day. And make sure to print of the slides Dr. Fox provides and bring them to class. The slides help when following along with the lesson and adding any extra information Dr. Fox deems as important.
