    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is considered a Prerequisite for Health Science or Biology Majors. Students learn that cells are the building blocks of living and non living things. There are many functions that cells perform that are happens simultaneously and rapidly.

    Course highlights:

When learning Biology, everything is connected to each other. What you learn will be seen again and more complex in the next chapter. Also, there is a quiz every week for each Chapter covered. Always review the readings, and you shall be fine!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the textbook is essential to knowing the material. Also, rereading past material to keep information current is helpful. There is a meeting once a week or more for Recitation sessions, which are study groups. The tutors have already taken the course and are there to answer general and/or personal questions that one may have. Also, for the visual learners like myself, watching videos on YouTube about the different topics discussed in this course will help students see what is happening and how. Great amounts of information can be learned this way.
