This class was tough.
Shanna LOVES microorganisms! She makes it easy to recognize disease causing bacteria and apply what we've learned in lecture and lab in a clinical setting.
I loved that she was so enthusiastic about what she was teaching us, and she didn't need a textbook to read from. She knew what she was talking about and she made it easy to retain the most important information rather than just having us memorize text.

Advice for students:
You cannot pass unless you study like crazy. She expects that you learn micro, not just to memorize stuff for a test. It's extremely important in the clinical setting when you're working with patients and cultures. Her class is invaluable to nursing students especially.
