    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class only if you take it with Mattingly. All of the other professors I've hard are hard. If you need a Science credit take Biology because it is a lot easier.

    Course highlights:

When she did experiments in class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get help when you need it and study right away.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking CHEM 121, but I would not recommend taking Professor Harmon Abrahamson.

    Course highlights:

The class participation was fun. We got to work on examples in class with partners around us. It was basically high school chemistry, but kicked up a notch. We learned about the same concepts as in high school, but we went more in depth.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are not understanding something, go to tutoring. Ask the professor. They are always willing to help if you ask for the help. Also, form study groups. Do homework together. Study together. Pass/fail together.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great introductory course that allows you to ask questions and learn via a flipped classroom, and Mr. Abrahamson is a fantastic instructor.

    Course highlights:

I loved the flipped classroom aspect of this course. We took notes ahead of time for the next lecture and completed an online homework assignment that helped prepare us for the class time. During class, we did an interactive online "quiz" system in which everyone in the class answered questions one by one, and if the whole class did not understand something based on the percentage of correct answers, Mr. Abrahamson would pause the online portion and explain the concept and do a few examples before resuming the online portion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make SURE you take your notes beforehand!!! If you don't, you will be completely lost during class. You are also self-sufficient for studying for tests, so make sure you review a little every night and really absorb the material and concepts.
