Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it teaches you different styles of writing, which is essential when pursuing any degree. If you haven't had any writing experience, this class will be very difficult but if you can write well it will be easy. The class doesn't teach you how to write but only guides you for each genre.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning how to better research and construct a paper. Also, my writing comprehension improved through learning different genres of writing. Highlights of the course consisted of writing about 4 large papers and 10 small writing assignments. Working in groups was key for one of the papers.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would learn how to write well and research each genre thoroughly. Also, don't be afraid to ask the teacher questions because she is more than willing to help. Spend a lot of time on the rough draft because you won't have much time to edit it afterwards. Don't skip class because you will get deductions from your grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was a super interesting class and taught me a lot about not only globalization but about my own writing techniques. Dr. Koleva was very helpful and wanted all of her students to grow as writers and wants everyone to succeed.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me a lot about myself as a writer and what interested me. None of the papers we did were about random things but she gave us one broad topic and we were able to come up with a more specific topic based on ideas that we had.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to go out of your comfort zone with your writing and be prepared to share your ideas with others.
