    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is required for business majors, but be prepared for hard work. I did gain a lot of essential knowledge. However, it can be very tedious, time consuming, and frustrating. I would take this class with some easier classes if possible. I didn't care for the professor's lecture style, although she was enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. Her lectures were hard to follow. So you will need to spend plenty of time outside of class studying. Also you will need to purchase the book bundle new because the codes are required for the class.

    Course highlights:

Fundamentals of basic accounting. You will learn all about debits and credits, balance sheets, retained earnings statements, statements of cash flows, how to do adjustments, closing accounts, accounting for inventory, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with all the assignments, even though they are tedious and annoying. The lectures weren't that helpful to me. I learned the most from doing the homework and looking up the answers in the book. I would still make sure to go to class for the attendance points. Make sure to take advantage of all the practice tests because you will earn bonus points for doing them. Get as many points as possible through the assignments because the exams are REALLY tough. The exams are also timed, which makes them even harder. I always felt rushed during the exams. Definitely, don't wait until the last minute to do the projects. The projects are time consuming as well as the practice tests, and weekly orion assignments. Good Luck!
