    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because not only does this class help you grow as a writer, the professor helps you grow as a person and expand your perspective on your own writing.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to better my writing by not following all the rules about writing us students have learned over the years. I have taught to let my emotions pour into my words and let other gain something from my own experiences.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give is to always do your work ahead of time and do not procrastinate. Also write multiple drafts for each paper to make each literary work stronger.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you will get a lot out of it and become a much better writer because of it. After taking this course you will see a notable difference in your writing in all classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to be a better writer and was able to apply this to papers in all courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students should talk to the teacher if they need help, she is very willing to help if you ask for it. I would also recommend having a partner with similar writing skill levels and peer edit for one another.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really has taught me how to write. Writing is an exceptional skill, outlet, and therapy for everyone to have. In High School I unfortunately never felt like I was actually being taught how to write, and how to put myself into my papers. My Professor here at the University of Akron has truly helped me succeed and has helped mold me into the proud writer that I am today. I would totally recommend this course to anyone. You will learn different styles and techniques, helpful tips, and you can actually incorporate your ideas into your papers!

    Course highlights:

As my course comes to an end, I can already say I've learned so much from it. I learned how to write all different types of essays including Profile essays, Analytical essays, review essays, and what we're currently working on; ethnography essays. One of the most important skills I've taken with me was how to lengthen my essays. Coming to college I heard students always telling stories about the stressful "6 page essays" they had to write while I questioned my own abilities to write two full pages in the back of my head. Before you knew it, I myself was writing a 6 page paper, and a good one. This was all thanks to the teachings I took advantage of in the course, and really challenging myself to apply the skills I've learned. It paid off.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I really recommend this course to you. If you need to take any English course in your lifetime, this one would apply to the real world the most. You'll be able to learn different skills you can apply in writing almost any paper. In most of the college courses a student will take in their lifetime, papers will have to be written. You might as well take a course in which you'd be able to take the skills you'll be taught and apply them in other classes. You just can't go wrong with this one!
