    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a class to learn more about the Japanese culture. There is a book, you will read it and use it. It is a small and short book and you only read some of the article within the book not the whole thing. Ms.Kenngott is a great teacher who know the subject she is speaking about. The class is fun and there are only 7 assignments really. 7 papers. And a written final that did suck, but was not hard at all. You watch approximately 8 movies I believe and have to write papers on 5. The other 2 assignments are about aspects of Japanese culture.

    Course highlights:

Watching the movies and talking about them were the best part of the class. The movies range from animated to live action. Comedy to drama. And they were quite fantastic.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class attendance is mandatory. Going to class actually makes the class more fun. Enjoy the class, do the work earlier rather than later and its an easy and fun class.

GO TO CLASS. The class met once a week and she took attendance on the homework. unless you somehow magically watch the movies outside of class and can do the homework assignemnts then go to class

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Pretty easy class. Watch a film, read a chapter for the film and write a paper. Not too much work, and it is pretty interesting. Be prepared to talk though.

    Course highlights:

The easiness was nice, and learning the culture is always a plus. Learned about Japan's culture from a book and saw it in action in a film.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to talk in class. So read the book in advance to answer the questions.
