This class was tough.
I would definitely recommend this course. This course focused on different aspects of a person's health and how it affected them. We discussed how culture, spiritual beliefs, family beliefs, education, income, location affect health disparities.
Family-Centered Health Promotion was a very informative class that gave me a new outlook of nursing. How to evaluate a person with considering several factors affecting the outcome of one's health including culture, education, income, location, upbringing/family beliefs, spiritual beliefs and past experiences.

Advice for students:
I highly recommend that when reading the discussion questions, really focus on what is being asked so that the question is answered thoroughly. Be sure to always have evidence cited properly per your college's protocol to give "weight" to the answer.
